Solar Art's COVID-19 Operation Policies & Procedures
Solar Art is doing everything possible to minimize the spread of COVID-19 in our offices and job sites. We have adjusted our policies and procedures to adhere to the CDC and CEA (Construction Employers Association) guidelines to make sure we are taking the proper precautions and keeping our employees and customers safe and healthy.
We currently have no confirmed cases of COVID-19 within our offices or job sites. We will update this document if anything changes.
All Solar Art employees who do not have to be in the office or on a job site will be working from home.
We are actively encouraging any employees who are sick or not feeling well to stay home, as our employees’ and our customers' health and safety is our number one priority.
All employees are encouraged to wash their hands for a minimum of 20 seconds multiple times throughout the day. Employees have also been trained on the proper etiquette to keep things as sanitized as possible.
We have provided information and training to our employees to cover their mouth and nose with a tissue when they cough or sneeze or to use the inside of their elbow. In addition, used tissues are to be thrown in the trash immediately and employees are to wash their hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
While our staff is working from home, we have increased our janitorial services at the office and have encouraged our employees to routinely clean all frequently used surfaces with disinfectant products.
We have implemented guidelines for our sales team that is similar to our operations and installation team. Our sales representatives are to remain at least 6 ft. away from other coworkers and clients at all times. They have been instructed to not shake hands and wear rubber gloves when on the job site. New gloves are required after each estimate.
Our sales representatives have been instructed to use antibacterial gel or wipes after every site visit to disinfect and keep the spread of germs down.
All of our sales representatives will be working from home, except for visiting a job site. No carpooling is allowed. All representatives will drive separately to the job site.
We have implemented no interoffice contact between operation personnel, assistants and installers. Our goal is to limit interaction between all employees that need access to the Solar Art office and remain at least 6 ft. away from each other at all times.
We want all of our employees to disinfect and/or sanitize phones, doorknobs, buttons, and any surfaces they regularly touch in the office or on a job site that is touched by others. In addition to disinfecting, our employees are encouraged to wash their hands for at least 20 seconds, multiple times throughout the day and not touch their face unless necessary.
All employees must wear gloves when they are in the warehouse or at a job site and not installing.
We have implemented a no carpool policy for our installation crew. All of our installers and sales representatives will be taking their own vehicles to the job and maintaining at least 6 ft. distance from other people, even if they will be working with other employees on the same job.
All of our installers are now required to wear rubber gloves anytime they are not physically installing and disinfecting all equipment after they are finished using it. Our installers have all been notified to not share any tools or equipment.
We are abiding by the social distancing guidelines. Installers have been notified to use their phone to communicate as much as possible while on a job site. If they need the onsite contact, they will try contacting them via phone first, before searching the premises for them.
Our installation team has been instructed to adhere to the 6 ft. of social distancing from customers and people on the job site. Our goal is to only do installations where we have clean access and are not around people.
Our installation team will not shake hands and they will wash their hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds as often as possible. If soap and water are not available, our installation team will use hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol, in addition to not touching their eyes, nose, or mouth with their hands.
Our installation teams have all been instructed to notify their managers if at any point they feel unsafe in an environment.
